If you have any curiosity about the future of the economy or society or both, check out FirstMatter.com . Smart people with a unique outlook on the world of business and a head for spotting trends early. We in funeral service have not had to worry about that stuff in the past but hey, our world is changing more and more quickly. Trends can catch us napping too.
Just as a reminder, here's a couple of quotes to keep you thinking.
It is not the strongest of species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.
-- Charles Darwin
Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.
-- Cowboy Poetry
Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.
-- Benjamin Franklin
Back to Work
Amazing how time flies, even for funeral directors and in so many ways we should have the capacity to see better than most how time and life moves and changes and dissipates in a moment. I have had a long holiday season this year filled with a world of personal transition and perhaps I would also use the word transformation.
It would appear that the dust has settled a bit from all those changes and that now I can focus some of my energies again on this website. Despite the downtime, the daily hit count has continued to rise, so I know the word about my work here continues to circulate.
I will have a new posting ready for this evening and I expect now to return to my regular posting schedule of Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
Thanks for your patience and have a fantastic week,
BT
